The Bellevue Pastry Corner + Buffet Giveaway [CLOSED]

The Bellevue Pastry Corner
Written by Nicole | Photos by Danne

On Manila Foodistas' recent stint in Alabang, Tiffy, Nicole, and Danne went to the Bellevue hotel. They thought they were only going to have lunch at the buffet but actually, there was more in store for them.

After having a scrumptious and absolutely filling feast at Bellevue's buffet,  they were toured around the whole hotel. Their last stop was the Pastry Corner.

A sculpture made of sugar will welcome every one who visits Bellevue's Pastry Corner. Bellevue's pastry chef, if I am not mistaken, is the one who crafts this. This was interesting! I wonder if it's edible?

Cakes, cakes, cakes, caaakkeess! And they have the irresistible cheesecake (my favourite)! Their cakes were cheaper than what we have here in the very buzzy Metro Manila! If you could zoom in this photo, you would see that each cake was less than a thousand pesos!

I was blown away by how cheap their cookies were! Only 20 pesos each! Danne commented that their cookies were even cheaper than what one could buy in UP Diliman.

Assorted Danish (Php 45.00)
Cheese Muffin (Php 50.00)

Bellevue's Pastry Corner has always something new to offer every month and as for this holiday season, Christmas-themed cakes, breads, chocolates, and other pastries are available. Also, you can order here for take-out some of the dishes from their buffet like the Roasted US Ribeye, Roasted Whole Turkey, Baked Salmon Fillet Coulibiac, California Maki Platter, Cheese and Cold Cuts Platter.

After our whole trip in this really pleasant hotel, each of us were given a box of different ensaymadas. The moment I got home, my sisters and I ate them and boy, in just a few minutes all the ensaymadas were gone! They were gone even before any of the manila foodistas had the chance to take photos of it. Awww... Tiffy loved the chocolate ensaymada and as for me, I liked everything because they were good!

Again, thank you so much to the Bellevue Hotel and to Ms. Jehn for having us! Twas indeed a memorable and fun experience for us!

But wait, there's more! The Bellevue Hotel Manila has been nice enough to sponsor a blog giveaway for our readers. They will be giving away 2 gift certificates for the buffet at Cafe D'Acie to one lucky winner. That's Php 2,600+ worth!

Here's what you have to do:

Eggtarts, among other things

Tiffy: The Graduating Foodista
Lord Stow's Bakery | A take on eggtarts
An update of sorts

Sorry for abandoning this blog for a long while. I've been back in Manila since March 30 of last year. I always told myself that I'd start blogging again as soon as I settled in. 'Settling in' took months! And the longer I waited, the harder it was to start blogging again.

What if no one's interested to read about what I have to say?
Some probably aren't but that's no reason to stop writing!

I kind of envy how active Bong still is, even after all these years! That's dedication right there.

So this is sort of like a: "Hi guys! I'm sort of back but I want to take things slow." Talk to us, comment, critique--tell us what you think!

This is still a blog by people who appreciates eating. Which brings me to my point: WHY HAS NO ONE TOLD ME TO TRY OUT LORD STOW'S EGGTARTS?

Lord Stow's

I didn't know about it until I had one last week. I didn't even know Lord Stow's! My sister was surprised: "How can you not know Lord Stow's? They supposedly have one of the best eggtarts ever!"

Lord Stow's Eggtarts
One box (4 eggtarts) | Php 158.00 USD 3.64

I haven't had a lot of eggtarts in my life but I'd have to agree that it's one of the best that I've had. I think an eggtart would probably have around 250 kcal. But trust me: it's well worth the calories!

If you're a fan of eggtarts and you've never had Lord Stow's (like me!), they can be found in the following locations:

Tomas Morato ・ Glorietta 4 - Food Choices ・ Glorietta 3 ・ Banawe ・ Ongpin ・ Greenhills ・ The Podium ・ Market! Market! ・ SM Mall of Asia ・ Trinoma
