This week has been full of launching events. After my last entry, I attended two: a cookbook launch and a travel website meet-and-greet. I'm probably going to blog about the cookbook launch later this week (or maybe next week!). It was my first time attending a cookbook launch and seeing as how I can't cook, I have no idea how to blog about it. Any tips?
The travel website meet-and-greet is for Wimdu.com, a German-based company that I'm currently freelancing for. As some of you may know, I just graduated from the Uni and while I'm not quite ready to work yet, I'm very open to freelancing. Whenever I'm asked to explain what kind of website it is, it's kind of like what happened in The Holiday (Cameron Diaz and Jude Law!) except you don't really swap houses with anyone and the properties charge nightly/weekly/monthly rates (I suck at giving explanations, I know!). It might interest you guys to know that liking Wimdu Philippines' Facebook page gives you a chance to win a 3 days 2 nights stay at any local destination (flight included)!
(They didn't tell/pay me to blog about them.)
It just so happened that their event happened at Borough at The Podium. It was an open event and food/drinks were served until they ran out the event organizers ran out of money.
After having the chips, I didn't eat until a couple of hours into the night. Creamy dip + oily chips = a little goes a long way.

But soon enough my tummy started grumbling and I decided to give the chocolate cookies a try. I took a cookie right after they served it and boy! -- it was really warm so it had that "melt in your mouth" thing going for it. I was probably enjoying it too much that Caloy, our photographer for the night, shared that the he came to Borough after his thesis was done just to eat Mom's Milk and Cookies. He told me that I should eat the cookie with a shot of this sweet milk that they serve with it.
Let me tell you, I stood by the food for a good half hour!
I didn't care much for the rest of the food served that night, but I do want to go back and try some of their other food.
A huge plus: the place is open 24/7.
